Welcome to JSSN2010!
This is a website created by a nursing student to help students going to Jefferson State Community College (Shelby Campus).
A little bit about the program:
This program is definitely one of the most challenging things you will experience and I couldn't have done it without the help of my classmates. That is partially why I decided to make this website. In fact, most of the notes are from various classmates.
The first two semesters are the most challenging and the sad truth is that many of you will not make it on your first try. Over 1/2 of our class failed first semester. My personal advice for success (besides tons of studying) is to work together as a team - trust me, it will be much easier for everyone! I urge you to share cell phone numbers, your personal e-mail addresses, and become friends on Facebook with your classmates. There have been many times that we have communicated with each other this way , from "Grades are up", to letting everyone know about important last-minute changes (which were all too common).
A little bit about me:
My name is Dale Morano and I am currently working as an RN in a Children's Hospital NICU. My favorite hobby is photography (www.TrussvillePhoto.com) and now that I am done with nursing school I actually have time for a hobby! I have had the misfortune of having a double hip replacement (R/T an old motorcycle injury). The following year I survived a house fire with burns to 40% of my body. All of this since I graduated in 2010. I am completely healed now and doing great thanks to God, family, and friends. I even received support from some of you that have never met me in person. Needless to say, I am very grateful. Thank you!
But that is why we are all here, right? We want to help others. That is really what this website is all about. You can help too. If any information in the notes has changed or if there are notes you would like to add to the website, just let me know by contacting me at [email protected]
(The old site is still available here: http://sites.google.com/site/jssn2010)
